Our lab is primarily interested in esophageal biology and pathologies, which we explore using various cellular and murine models as well as clinical data.

Our studies range from describing the transcriptomic regulation of the esophageal epithelium to analyzing race-based health disparities in the complications and symptoms of eosiniphilic esophagitis.

​

Along with our scientific goals, we are also committed to furthering diversity and representation in STEM.

Single cell RNA sequencing - frequently employed and studied in our lab - analyzes the transcriptomic landscape of normal, precancer, and cancer cells in the context of esophageal cancer.
